General Terms and Conditions.

  • To keep things simple all communication will be in English.
  • Our website provides general information about our product’s main features, materials, functions, characteristics, capabilities, and pricing.   • Once you have made an online purchase, we will promptly send you an order confirmation receipt via email.  
  • For your security and convenience, we utilize Payfast as our secure online payment service provider. Through Payfast’s secure payment portal you can pay us with your credit card, debit card, Instant EFT, Masterpass and SnapScan. You can also pay directly into our banking account via EFT. Our banking details will be on your order receipt.
  • Your information and privacy are of the utmost importance to us and we will never compromise on that. We will never share your information with anyone else.
  • For your peace of mind all the products sold on our website are covered by our manufacturer’s warranties.
  • Your order will be delivered as quickly as possible by our reputable third-party courier company. We will always do our best to ship your order out within 2 to 7 days. However, occasionally, due to circumstances beyond our control, it may take up to 10 days.
  • Some of our products do have lead times due to them being custom-made or imported. These lead times are clearly indicated on our product pages.
  • In the unlikely event that we are unable to ship out your products within 10 days, for whatever reason out of our control, you will be notified timeously. You may then elect to: (a) wait for the product to be back in stock (order placed on back order), (b) purchase a suitable alternative or (c) cancel the order and receive a full refund.
  • In the unlikely event that you receive a defective or damaged product, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery of the product. You can contact us via email at info@LightStore.co.za, telephonically at (011) 465 5697 or WhatsApp chat on 082 846 3293. We will then make arrangements to collect the damaged product from you. Once we have received and inspected the damaged product, we will then arrange for the prompt delivery of the replacement product.
  • We cannot accept any responsibility or liability for any damage not reported to us within the 48-hour period.
  • In the unlikely event that you receive a product with broken or cracked glass or dented shade this will not be considered a defective product. We will deliver a replacement piece to you as soon as possible.
  • Whilst we take the greatest care to ensure that the colours of products displayed on our website are as close as possible, they may be influenced by your computer settings and other factors.  Actual product colours may vary, within reason, from that of the images displayed on our website. Products may also, within reason, differ from those pictured on our website due to natural variations in colour, finish and scale of the image.

  • Over and above our 7-day satisfaction guarantee policy we may, at our sole discretion, and on a case-by-case basis, accept the return of a product within 14 days of delivery of the product to you, provided that the product is returned in “as new” condition, uninstalled and in the original packaging. In these cases, we will have to charge you a 15% handling fee.   • We are unfortunately unable to accept the following products for returns:
    • Products bought on special promotions or having enjoyed additional discounts.
    • Products that have been assembled or installed.
    • Products not in their original undamaged packing and or not in “as new” condition.
    • Custom manufactured or modified products.
    • Products imported for you.
    • Gift vouchers.
    • Bulk or project orders.
    • Light bulbs, LED strips, drivers, transformers, and batteries.

  • We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, special or consequential damage, loss, or injury which you may suffer from or arising out of any cause whatsoever from the products purchased from us. You hereby indemnify us from any and all claims for damages, loss or injury arising from your use of any of our products offered or sold on our website.
  • Our website is hosted, controlled and operated from the Republic of South Africa and therefore governed by South African laws.
